The Chicago Regional Chapter would like to thank Argonne National Laboratory and everyone who attended our May meeting at the Carriage Greens Country Club.
An informative tour was enjoyed by a diverse group and the related technical talk given by Mr. Stu Kleven of Alloyweld Inspection, a valued ASM Chicago sustaining member company, was a major highlight of our May program.
Information on the following Chicago Regional Chapter Summer Programs will be updated soon.
An announcement regarding the ASM Chicago 2012 Teacher's Camp, set to be located in Dekalb at Northern Illinois University on July 23rd, will be provided soon, in order to finalize planning for that event.
The program committee and Chapter Executive committee have also confirmed that no student material's camp program will be taking place this summer due to limitations related to funding and volunteer availability to staff the event. Other options for student programming are being discussed and an announcement for a Fall program event is expected in the near future.
The Chicago Regional Chapter extends our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to all of our speakers and venues for a highly successful Spring 2012 program! We continue to see significant changes and improvements thanks to our involved and active volunteers and we look forward to an equally successful Summer and Fall.
